Vegas in Virginia Brought the Speakeasy Spirit
For one night only, SJCS supporters traded everyday life for cards, cocktails, and a chance to party like it was 1926!
On June 5, guests gathered for Vegas in Virginia (VIVA), SJCS’s casino night fundraiser inspired by the glamour and mischief of a 1920s speakeasy. Feathered headbands, bowties, pearls and fedoras filled the room.
The casino tables stayed busy all evening with a few surprise card sharks who clearly knew their way around a winning hand. Guests enjoyed delicious food and cocktails, live music from Swingology, a special Motherwell Distilling Co. tasting, and raffle prizes.
Best of all, proceeds from Vegas in Virginia will help stock The Pantry and strengthen SJCS programs, creating more opportunities for neighbors to access food and person-centered care that makes independence possible.
We are especially grateful to our presenting sponsor, Delta-T Group, and to everyone who attended, our other sponsors, and volunteers!
Stay tuned for details about next year’s VIVA.
