Tennessee Dream Makers Classic: A Hole-in-One for Community Impact

The third-annual Dream Makers Classic, held on June 20 at the scenic Persimmon Hills Golf Course in Sharon, Tennessee was a remarkable day, bringing together a vibrant mix of golfers for a day filled with friendly competition and community spirit.

This year's event raised $23,000, benefiting individuals living with intellectual disabilities, survivors of domestic violence, and youth experiencing homelessness across our community. 

The tournament attracted 17 teams, featuring men and women of all ages. Every team underscored the tournament's welcoming nature, showcasing its ability to unite community members from various backgrounds.

Alan Thornton, President and CEO of SJCS, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of community support, reaffirming the organization’s dedication to being "in the community for the community."

Dwayne Webb, Tennessee State Director of Operations, emphasized the significance of the funds raised, stating that they will play a vital role in empowering individuals to lead fulfilling lives with the essential resources and support they need.
