Radiothon Shows What’s Possible When Community Comes Together
Last month, Radiothon began bright and early at 6 a.m. at Thunderbolt Broadcasting’s radio station. Individuals you help support arrived, alongside family members and support staff, a little sleepy but full of excitement to go live on the air.
As everyone waited their turn to share their story, they enjoyed donuts, coffee, and catching up with one another.
Radiothon is a special kind of fundraiser. It’s a moment when our community comes together to support the dreams of people of all abilities, and when supporters like you hear directly from the people whose lives you help change. Throughout the morning, individuals stepped up to the microphone to share their stories.
They spoke about what it means to live independently. To feel connected. To be supported while pursuing goals both big and small. Their stories were honest, hopeful, and personal, offering listeners a firsthand account of the impact of their compassion.
Throughout the morning, supporters tuned in, generously donating gifts big and small that provide safe housing, supported employment opportunities, access to food, and so much more.
Radiothon isn’t just about raising funds. It’s about building community and connection. It’s about creating space for people to tell their own stories, with their own voice, and reminding everyone what’s possible when we show up for one another.
Because of you, Radiothon was filled with hope, momentum, and possibility. Your support ensures people of all abilities can continue living full, meaningful lives in the communities they love.
