Dreams Do Come True
At SJCS when we talk about people living their best life and that every dream matters, we mean it! For Karen, a woman we support, her dream was to go to Disney World.
In April, Karen’s dream came true, with saving and planning she and her close friend were able to visit all four Disney Parks. “I got to go to Disney World!” Karen exclaimed in recounting her travels, “I love me some roller coasters” she also shared.

Karen indulged in snacks and bought souvenirs, “I bought myself a nice t-shirt with Mickey Mouse on it and had popcorn.”
People’s lives change when they know they have options or that their dreams matter.
For Karen, it meant a trip to Disney, for someone else it might be learning to cook a favorite meal by themselves, or living in their own apartment.
