Jeromy Boler Named ANCOR's DSP of the Year for Washington, D.C.
Jeromy, a valued member of the SJCS team, was named Direct Support Professional (DSP) of the Year for Washington, D.C. at the ANCOR Connect ‘26 Conference! This is one of the highest honors a Direct Support Professional can receive. We want to share why it’s well deserved for Jeromy.
Jeromy embodies the heart of what it means to provide person-centered support.
When changes in routine left one person feeling anxious, Jeromy worked with them and their family to build visual schedules and step-by-step guides that made the day feel manageable again.
When he noticed someone's passion for cooking, he adapted recipes and tools so that fine motor challenges wouldn't stand between that person and a meal they made themselves.
Jeromy also designed a transit training program that helps adults living with disabilities learn how to navigate the bus system independently, on their own terms, on their own schedule.
Jeromy thinks ahead on every shift, looking for small ways to clear the path so the people he supports can accomplish their unique dreams. He mentors new staff. He shows up for his team the same way he shows up for the people he supports: consistently, thoughtfully, and with leadership.
At SJCS, this is what we believe support looks like. We're so proud Jeromy is part of our team, and we're grateful every day for the work he does.
