Every Person Deserves the Opportunity to Thrive
Every July, Disability Pride Month is a time to celebrate the people, voices and experiences of adults living with disabilities. It reminds us that stronger communities are built when every person is welcomed, valued and empowered to pursue their goals.
It also marks the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), landmark civil rights legislation signed into law on July 26, 1990, that expanded access and protections for millions of Americans living with disabilities.
36 years later, the ADA's impact reaches far beyond ramps and curb cuts. At its heart, it is about creating communities where people living with disabilities have the opportunity to make their own choices, build meaningful relationships and achieve their dreams. While significant progress has been made, inclusion is an ongoing commitment.
At SJCS, that belief shapes everything we do and why your support is so critical.
We partner with adults living with disabilities to meet their unique needs. Whether that's living in a home of their own, finding meaningful employment, building new skills or becoming more involved in their communities. We believe every person deserves the opportunity to live a life filled with purpose, possibility and belonging.
Thank you for creating communities of belonging where every person living with disabilities can live their best life.
