Ann Marie lives as independently as possible with your support! She confidently navigates her daily routines, requiring minimal assistance from caregivers, showcasing her self-reliance and ability to take charge of her life. 

At home, Ann Marie finds a sense of purpose and accomplishment in taking care of her space and the people she shares it with. She transforms mundane chores like washing dishes into opportunities for enjoyment and personal satisfaction. Her meticulous organization of the kitchen, diligent handling of her laundry, and unwavering support for her roommates all contribute to a harmonious and well-functioning living environment.

Ann Marie's helpful and compassionate nature shines through in her interactions with others. Cykeethia Phillips, Residential Program Director, recalls witnessing Ann Marie's kindness and willingness to lend a hand to fellow residents during her visit. 

"I was there a week ago and Ann Marie was very, very helpful with the other residents," said Phillips. "Something simple as giving them a napkin, asking if they are ok … she is just a delight in my opinion. And she is willing and able to be helpful. She is a helper." 

Ann Marie also enthusiastically participates in the SJCS Day Program, reflecting her zest for life and eagerness to learn and grow. She loves expressing her creativity in art classes, finding joy in musical activities, and she enjoys community outings. Ann Marie's self-advocacy skills are also noteworthy. She confidently expresses her needs and desires, particularly when it comes to her well-deserved vacations.
