Established in 1991, SJCS-VA serves the Northern Virginia community through community-based employment, day, and residential services in Virginia. SJCS-VA supports adults with intellectual, developmental and other disabilities live, work, participate and develop relationships in communities of their choosing. In-Home Support services offer discrete health services to people of all abilities to support them remaining in their homes for as long as possible. All SJCS-VA services are CARF accredited.
SJCS provides the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of people with disabilities and their families; to work for a highly recognized and well-run organization as evidenced by success since 1868; to earn competitive staff benefits, and to work in a collaborative team-focused approach to providing service.
As a community, we drive social change for all people nationwide, and continue to advocate for full inclusion of people with disabilities and other social and personal challenges into their local communities. We do this through assistance with access to housing, employment, education, healthcare and relationships. We open the doors to autonomy where each person becomes a strong thread in a woven fabric which supports and binds neighbors together.
