The Founders Board of St. Johns Community Services is one of the oldest charities in Washington, DC., dating back to just after the Civil War. We began as an orphanage but our work in the city evolved with its needs. In the 1950s we founded the first community-based program in the country for children with disabilities. That center developed into the present day St. Johns Community Services. We continue our commitment to serving the needs of the residents of the District of Columbia by supporting SJCS in our city. We welcome your support of these efforts.
