Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services
Available to citizens statewide, Virginia’s public mental health, intellectual disability and substance abuse services system is comprised of 16 state facilities and 40 locally-run community services boards (CSBs).
Virginia Office for Protection and Advocacy
The Virginia Office for Protection and Advocacy (VOPA) helps with disability-related problems like abuse, neglect, and discrimination. VOPA also helps people with disabilities obtain services and treatment.
