We need staff to join us who are committed to our shared mission of community inclusion and supports for all the individuals served. Candidates must have an unconditional positive regard for individuals with disabilities and their families, along with their hopes dreams, desires and the importance of community integration. We also need candidates to understand the meaning of “support”. At SJCS, we advocate supporting individuals to do what they can to the greatest degree possible. We promote individuals with disabilities to participate at 100% of their ability to do so. Some individuals experience behavioral and other challenges in life. Our staff must use person-centered, positive behavioral support approaches when encountering these behaviors.
