Welcome to St. John’s Community Services

Now celebrating its 140th anniversary, St. John’s Community Services (SJCS), a non-profit agency, supports people with intellectual, developmental and other disabilities to live, work, develop relationships and contribute to communities of their choosing.  Since 1868, SJCS has supported community needs, helping to more fully include diverse populations into all aspects of community life.  Today, SJCS has evolved into a multi-state organization—in the District of Columbia, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Virginia—providing community-based services for children, youth, adults and seniors with disabilities.

SJCS will celebrate its 140th anniversary of service to people with disabilities by hosting A Celebration of People of All Abilities on November 6, 2008, at DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, DC, featuring music by acclaimed Grammy Award winners and an art sale representing a wide spectrum of people with and without disabilities.
